At Happy Opu 🙂

Our organization has grown and expanded so much over the past year that it was time to find a new home that fits us—kind of like a crab finding a new, bigger shell! 🦀💚 We’re excited to announce that we’ve moved into a beautiful new space in Kahului that meets all of our needs as we continue to grow and serve our Maui community.

We are so grateful for our time at Anuhea Chapel and everything that space and organization offered us. Their partnership helped us grow into what we are today, and we send them our best as we take this next step forward.

Our new kitchen is not quite ready for visitors yet (think of it like moving into a new house—still getting everything organized and cleaned up!). But stay tuned, because we’ll be sharing more exciting updates about our new space and partners very soon!

our mission, you can also contribute via our GiveButter page—every bit helps as we continue to nourish Maui with love. 💌

Mahalo for your continued support! More to come soon! 🌿

Love-Infused Meals for Maui Homeless

Hungry Heroes Hawaii is a grassroots community initiative redefining hunger. Set up during the COVID-19 lockdowns, HHH has been providing thousands of meals for the homeless since the pandemic and has expanded operations in response to the Maui fire tragedy. Hundreds of Maui residents are volunteering for HHH, including the indefatigable MeShell Batts, who has become one of the leaders of the HHH kitchen in Kula. Dr. Kathy Forti provided the raw footage that journalist CJ Grace used to produce this video. To volunteer your time or contribute funds, go to https://hhhmaui.org. Every dollar you donate will go straight to those in need rather than administration or salaries.
